The Engl Cabloader brings a new world of gigging utility to your pedalboard. Tired of miking your stage amp? Want to run straight from your board out to a PA? Even if you're new to the world of cab-emulated impulse responses (IRs), this powerful IR loader and guitar direct box will have you dialing in wicked tones in 30 seconds flat. The Cabloader comes preloaded with 12 virtualizations of popular Engl cab and speaker combos. There are also 10 virtual stage and studio microphone options, each with their own placement controls, allowing you to fine-tune your cab tone. You can even load in four of your favorite third-party cab IRs and access them via the Cabloader's four user spots. Once you've got your cab sound dialed in, the Cabloader's onboard power amp simulation lets you audition several virtual power tube types (EL34s, 6L6s, etc.) to tailor the stiffness and breakup characteristics of your incoming preamp or pedal signal. Die-hard amp user? The Cabloader gives you plenty of ways to augment the setup you love, bringing dead-simple sound reinforcement and stage monitoring to your live amp rig. Feed it a signal from the FX loop of your stage amp, send a signal to FOH, and the Cabloader totally eliminates the need throw a mic and stand in front of your amp.

The Engl Cabloader comes stocked with more than enough cab simulations to suit any amp in your arsenal. From vicious V30-loaded sealed 4x12s to Cream-loaded open-backed 1x12s, finding your cab of choice in the Cabloader is as easy as twisting a dial. Cab tones can be further tweaked by selecting any of 10 virtual mic options and adjusting their X/Z cab proximity using the dedicated Center and Distance controls. Each mic option unlocks a dramatically different response for each cab. And combined with the Cabloader's virtual mic placement options, you'll never run out of ways to tailor your tone for the task as hand.





Tube-emulated power amp emulation





As any established guitarist can tell you, the power section of an amp plays a big part in how that amp speaks and handles. This is especially true of tube amps. There's something special that occurs when you cook those power tubes into saturation. The Cabloader's Power Amp stage seeks to re-create the power section of driven amp en route to the cab section. Four switchable power tube types ? EL34s, EL84s, 6L6s, and 6V6s ? give you the familiar compression, wool, shimmer, and stiffness of several beloved American and British amps. Here you'll also find that indispensible feedback-based Presence control, along with a Master output for proper gain staging. Don't need the power tube emulator? You can also disable this feature completely by setting the tube type to Off.





Four user cab IR slots





If you're like Sweetwater guitarists, your third-party impulse response (IR) libraries are essential. The Engl Cabloader lets you import up to four custom IRs over USB and save them to four user slots. Now it's possible to take your dialed-in studio tone out on the road with you. IR loading is accomplished using the free Engl Cabloader software. All mono .WAV IRs are supported and are converted to a standard 44.1kHz/24-bit/23.22ms format inside the software.





Two favorite switches





Have you got two cab tones you want to recall instantly? The Cabloader's Favorite A and Favorite B switches allow you to leave pedal-live mode and access the secret sauce for your solo and rhythm tones in a flash. Once you've got your settings locked and loaded, simply hold either footswitch for three seconds, and you're set. Bypass either favorite, and the Cabloader returns to pedal-live mode to open up the floor to experimentation.
